Saving...Mentor Supervised Clinical Sessions
Every student who comes to IMS for Certification in Clinical Hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, or Life/Business Coaching will serve in an internship as part of their certification.
I believe that actually planning and conducting sessions, with a mentor to guide and encourage you, is essential to building confidence in your abilities and the skills you need to succeed in your own practice.
I have found internships are one of the favorite parts of the training for the students and feel certain you will enjoy this process, too.
Every student is matched up with a mentor for the duration of their internship. Sometimes this is me, a former student, or a practitioner in the field, but it will be the same individual through your entire internship.
This individual will guide you and answer questions you may have. They will give advice and help you find ways to improve your approach.
Mentors will be available to consult with you after you conduct your sessions. They review your recorded session and notes online and then advise you and go over each session with you, either right after or at a later date, to help you with any challenges you may have. These mentor sessions can take place on the phone, via e-mail, through video conferencing like Skype… or a combination- whatever will work best for you.
The mentor is intended to be an excellent resource for you so take advantage of the wisdom and guidance they provide!
